Georgia Cormick Locked in for 2023

Georgia Cormick is gearing up for her debut season with Matatū, fresh off Otago’s Farah Palmer campaign.  

Dunedin born but Australian raised, the 26-year-old half back plied her trade for the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby W since their inaugural season in 2018 and made selection for the Wallaroos in 2019. But she always had Otago on her mind. 

She’s back on home soil and ready to represent the South Island. 

Blair Baxter, Matatū Head Coach, said Cormick was “arguably the form half back in the 2022 Farah Palmer Cup”. 

“We’ve all seen her attacking prowess on display for Otago, she just has a real spark about her,” Baxter said. 

“Her organisation, passing, and running game add a point of difference to the squad.”
